    Congrats on the new girl! I am sure she'll be a quick study if you follow all the advice given here.
    BTW- I couldn't agree with the quote above any more! I love to try unique meats/foods (bring on the snake, alligator, kangaroo, etc.)...but NEVER will I try dog/cat/horse!!!!!

    I start immediately for home and formal around 16 wks of puppy K ( or after final parvo shot etc).

    In the home I work on ...
    not going out/in doors (house and car) without the "ok"
    Echo is low man, she is the last one of my pack that eats, goes in or out of doors, gets attention etc.
    sit/lay/shake to get meals and treats
    all training is done in fun ways and when she does what I want I act like she just won the lotto!
    A lot of things do not seem like "training" but I have so valuable
